Porto Alegre, the seventh largest municipality in Brazil, needed to upgrade its traffic monitoring capabilities to better support police and rescue teams responding to accidents and stranded travelers. To meet this challenge, Infinova supplied a new surveillance system using 30 H- and M-Series high-definition cameras, integrated with Digifort video management software.

Infinova implemented a traffic management solution that replaced cameras from multiple manufacturers and enabled smooth handling of H.264 HD video through Digifort. The system stores images on IBM, HP, and Dell servers, and also shares live traffic feeds with a local TV station for traffic reports, improving citywide visibility of street conditions and traffic flow.
