A Infinova Case Study
Kuwait International Airport needed a surveillance system that could satisfy the overlapping security requirements of three different authorities: the Asset Protection Department, the Ministry of Interior, and the Civil Aviation authority. Infinova provided a flexible video surveillance solution built around Ethernet-networked video matrix switchers, Video-over-IP functionality, and a mix of 130 PTZ dome cameras, mini domes, and fixed cameras.
With Infinova’s networked matrix switchers and Infinet™ client software, the airport was able to create a single cohesive system with programmable camera priorities, shared access across control groups, and remote PTZ control from workstations. The Asset Protection Department retained top priority while also accessing cameras managed by other switchers, and the solution delivered a cost-effective alternative to separate dedicated systems.
