Preview of the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Case Study

Infinova’s Hybrid Surveillance System Watches Over the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center

Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, one of China’s largest sports complexes, needed a surveillance system that could scale across a 222-acre site while delivering high reliability, precise camera control, and robust fiber-based transmission. The center required flexible monitoring for multiple venues and long distances between facilities and the central control room, along with dependable video quality and real-time PTZ response.

Infinova provided a hybrid surveillance solution using PTZ dome cameras, IP-enabled matrix switchers, and fiber optics. The distributed matrix architecture improved system reliability by avoiding a single point of failure, while fiber transceivers delivered clear video over long distances and helped protect against lightning. Infinova also reduced installation costs by using a single fiber for multiple cameras and added alarm capabilities for video loss detection, creating a more affordable and resilient surveillance system.
