Infinova Video System Protects Romania’s Rompetrol Refinare SA Refinery

Rompetrol Refinare SA, Romania’s second-largest oil company, needed reliable video surveillance across its vast 480-hectare refinery in Navodari, where electrical interference and maritime conditions made monitoring difficult. Infinova provided a fiber-optic video system, including outdoor cameras, DVRs, and a V2010 video matrix switcher, to help security teams monitor the site continuously.

Using Infinova’s solution, Rompetrol Refinare SA gained EMI- and RFI-resistant surveillance with no concerns about cross-talk, ground loops, sparks, or fire hazards from copper wiring. The system also gave operators the ability to view multiple monitors and recordings simultaneously, and the refinery’s team reported plans to expand with additional Infinova systems at retail outlets.
