Preview of the Asian Games Organization Committee Case Study

Infinova Video Products Deployed in Multiple Stadiums Helping Protect Over 470,000 Attendees and 2,500 Athletes

The Asian Games Organization Committee needed a reliable way to keep large stadiums and event venues safe during the 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games in Guangzhou, China, while supporting more than 470,000 attendees and 2,500 athletes. Infinova provided video surveillance and security equipment, including IP and analog cameras, matrix switchers, fiber optic systems, DVRs, and the V2216 VMS for multiple venues such as the Guangzhou International Sports Performance Arts Center, Guangdong Aquatic Center, Bicycle Racing Course, and Tennis Center.

Infinova’s solution created a coexisting analog-and-digital surveillance system with onsite technical support during the games. The deployment helped protect athletes, officials, reporters, and spectators across the events, and the Asian Games Organization Committee recognized Infinova with its “Outstanding Safeguard” Award for its role in maintaining venue security.
