Infinova IP Video System Helps Guard Prison Industry Authority at Folsom State Prison

Folsom State Prison needed a rugged video surveillance system to help oversee CALPIA factories, inmate work areas, the central office, and the surrounding property in a harsh correctional environment. The prison selected Infinova IP video equipment, including fixed minidomes and high-speed PTZ dome cameras, for both indoor and outdoor coverage.

Infinova implemented a system with outdoor cameras connected via Cat 6 and indoor cameras running on PoE, with the server housed in the MIS data center. The solution was installed quickly and smoothly, gave the prison reliable coverage of critical areas, and is being expanded with video analytics and license plate recognition.
