A Infinova Case Study
Shanghai World Expo 2010 needed a large-scale surveillance system to help protect the expo grounds and surrounding transportation routes during an event expected to draw 70–100 million visitors and world leaders. Infinova provided the cameras, matrix switchers, fiber optic transmission systems, and related surveillance software and equipment to support the site’s coexistent analog and digital security environment.
Infinova implemented more than 2,700 IP and analog cameras across the Expo’s many venues, including the Theme Pavilion, Expo Center, Watergate Wharf, Performance Center, and Control Center. Its fiber optic network and large-scale matrix switchers helped manage video transmission and control across the sprawling site, enabling high-definition surveillance without broadband constraints and creating one of the world’s largest integrated surveillance systems.
