Ertan Hydroelectric Power Plant Implements Infinova Digital Video Surveillance

Ertan Hydroelectric Power Plant, a major power supplier in west China, needed to replace a complex, hard-to-scale analog CCTV system with a more reliable digital surveillance platform. Infinova provided the V2216 Network Video Management Platform along with IP cameras to support the plant’s migration to IP video surveillance across critical areas such as the dam, reservoir, tunnels, turbine floor, transformer station, and control rooms.

Infinova implemented a centralized, networked solution with IP cameras, central servers, SAN-based storage, RAID 5 archiving, alarm integration, and remote web access. The system improved security and operational safety, supported dual-stream video for efficient bandwidth use, enabled flexible retention periods by zone, and preserved existing analog investments through integration with the Honeywell Vista fire alarm system and Infinova V2431 Alarm Interface.
