Istanbul Metro needed a scalable, secure CCTV upgrade to help monitor a busy rail network spanning about 18 stations and carrying more than 36,000 passengers an hour. Infinova provided an integrated video surveillance solution using its V2217 Video Management Software along with about 1,500 megapixel IP cameras, added to an existing base of 720 IP and analog cameras.

Infinova implemented a distributed system with 20 servers and 40+ clients, enabling local monitoring at stations and centralized oversight from three control rooms with flexible failover. The solution also supported Turkish-language operation, advanced mapping, multiple display layouts, and optimized resource use, helping Istanbul Metro streamline permissions, improve operator usability, and strengthen security across the network.
