EMD Millipore, a life sciences leader in bioscience research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, faced lengthy delays and added handling from post-production quality testing of pleated cartridge assemblies. Seeking in-process testing to keep cartridges on the line and prove bonded parameters were statistically in control, EMD Millipore evaluated solutions and selected InfinityQS’ ProFicient SPC software to enable automated, real-time quality monitoring.

InfinityQS implemented ProFicient with real-time SPC charting and Remote Event Monitoring Service (REMS) to monitor automated work cells and halt processes if they drift out of control. Using InfinityQS’ tools, EMD Millipore eliminated the post-production test, added lot reports to batch records, reduced scrap, rework, labor and overhead, and now saves over $250,000 annually.
