General Cable, a Fortune 500 leader in wire and cable manufacturing, needed consistent production data analytics across its 57 global facilities to control process variation, reduce raw‑material waste, and prevent rework or delays. To address this, General Cable partnered with InfinityQS to deploy the ProFicient Manufacturing Intelligence and SPC platform for standardized data collection and analysis.

InfinityQS implemented ProFicient on‑premises at 14 plants, creating a centralized data repository, integrating measurement devices, and automating data capture every 100–200 feet of cable so operators and quality teams could use SPC and control charts. The InfinityQS solution drove measurable results: significant raw‑material savings across three production lines in one year, elimination of duplicate data entry, increased Cpks to 4–5 on key processes, reduced variation, and improved process capability and data trust.
