Weld RE5J School District, a 3,300‑student district in northern Colorado, struggled with a fragmented, non–real-time system (PowerSchool SMS) that required SQL scripting for reports, multiple third‑party tools, and poor parent engagement. Seeking a single, user‑friendly solution, they selected Infinite Campus’s fully integrated, web‑based student information system in 2009.
Infinite Campus implemented its core SIS along with the Campus Portal (including a mobile app) and Campus Messenger with Voice, supported locally by Channel Partner CIC, to deliver real‑time grades, attendance, schedules and automated notifications. The result was a “huge increase” in parent and student engagement, elimination of redundant data entry, one‑button state reporting, and a dramatic operational improvement—year‑end close time dropped from two weeks to less than a day—saving significant staff time and improving data accuracy.
