South Texas Independent School District (STISD), serving 3,400 students in the Rio Grande Valley, faced limitations with a legacy student information system that could not handle irregular course scheduling, required separate parent accounts, and offered poor usability and vendor support. After vetting options, STISD selected Infinite Campus in 2010 as its SIS to address scheduling flexibility, parent/teacher access, and reporting needs.

Infinite Campus delivered a web-based SIS with Grade Book, Messenger and Portal integration, a powerful scheduler, Cloud Hosting and improved PEIMS reporting, plus ODBC/SQL reporting and responsive Campus Support. The result was stronger teacher–parent communication, teachers posting assignments across courses, counselors cutting transcript entry time in half and turning tasks that once took weeks into days, and overall district efficiencies enabled by Infinite Campus.
