A Infinite Campus Case Study
Princeton Independent School District, a rural Texas district serving about 3,000 students, faced an end-of-life legacy system with a complex, LAN-based hosting model, separate gradebooks on teacher machines, and time-consuming manual updates and data movement. After evaluating options, Princeton selected Infinite Campus’ web-based student information system and integrated district-wide database to replace the fragmented setup.
Infinite Campus implemented a centralized SIS and Portal that delivers automatic updates, a Spanish-language parent portal, health-office tools, and point-and-click PEIMS reporting that extracts flat files in seconds. The switch produced cleaner, more consistent data across campuses, saved staff time on PEIMS submissions and daily attendance/scheduling tasks, and improved parent access and vendor support — with Princeton citing quicker reporting, easier ad hoc extracts for third-party apps, and responsive service from Infinite Campus (and partner XID).
