A Infinite Campus Case Study
Minnesota Online High School (MNOHS), a St. Paul charter that operates as an online community school, struggled with inefficient student information systems (JMC and FileMaker Pro) that made state reporting, shared student notes, and routine administration time-consuming. In 2006 they implemented Infinite Campus, a fully integrated, web-based student information system, to better handle their unique online-school needs.
Infinite Campus delivered hosted SIS services, an electronic Contact Log for shared teacher notes, ad hoc reporting tools, data export and transcript capabilities, and ongoing system maintenance. As a result, MNOHS significantly reduced the time spent on MARSS and other reports, improved staff collaboration and data security, and scaled operations—tripling enrollment over eight years to about 183 students—while freeing administrative time and improving reporting accuracy.
