The Kentucky Department of Education sought a uniform, statewide student data management system to provide current and historical data, consistent district input, and real‑time state and federal reporting. Kentucky Department of Education selected Infinite Campus, using the web‑based Infinite Campus State Edition (ICSE) alongside Infinite Campus District Edition and the Campus Mobile Portal to achieve vertical interoperability and unified data access across its 174 districts.

Infinite Campus implemented a state-hosted ICSE environment, district editions, and a mobile portal while centrally performing maintenance and upgrades so every district stays on the same release. As a result, Infinite Campus delivered real‑time communication and reporting, faster federal reporting responsiveness, parent and teacher access via the mobile app, reduced local IT burden (freeing district resources for instruction), and a single authoritative student‑level data source that supports KDE’s longitudinal and public reporting needs.
