Jefferson County Public Schools - Customer Case Study

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), the largest district in Kentucky serving more than 98,000 students across 154 schools and supporting nearly 14,000 staff, needed a scalable, web-based student information system to manage complex data for academics, attendance, transportation and large special-population cohorts (nearly 28,000). Facing rapid growth, extensive transportation logistics and costly legacy setups, JCPS selected Infinite Campus’s web-based SIS in 2007 to improve ROI, streamline business practices and support district-wide access.

Infinite Campus delivered a scalable, integrated web SIS that consolidated multiple years and databases into one system, allowed customizable screens/reports, integrated legacy systems, and provided 24x7 home and mobile access. As a result, JCPS eliminated client-install setup and separate Mac software, stopped maintaining two databases, restructured the school year without major changes, and “saved millions in maintenance and support costs,” while reducing onsite support visits and improving scheduling and student tracking.
