A Infinite Campus Case Study
Fort Thomas Independent Schools, a 2,800‑student district in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, struggled with a third‑party food service system that required nightly uploads to Infinite Campus, causing online payments and account updates to lag 24–48 hours. Seeking real‑time integration, the district adopted Infinite Campus’s Campus Food Service (along with Campus Online Payments) in 2012 to unify cafeteria functions with their SIS.
Infinite Campus delivered two-and-a-half days of hands‑on training, migrated existing account numbers, and integrated online payments so parents can view balances, purchases, and deposit funds via the Campus Portal in real time. As a result, Fort Thomas eliminated weekly import/export work, reduced payment posting delays from up to 48 hours to immediate updates, improved free/reduced lunch processing, boosted school‑to‑home communication, and saved substantial staff time.
