A Infinite Campus Case Study
Beechwood Independent Schools, a 1,100-student district in Fort Mitchell, KY, was struggling with an unreliable cafeteria point-of-sale system (Horizon-Boss Fastlane) that caused frozen terminals, malfunctioning pin pads, long lunch lines and lost meal counts. Already using the Infinite Campus student information system (SIS) statewide in Kentucky, Beechwood selected Infinite Campus’s Campus Food Service to replace the legacy POS and eliminate duplicate data entry between systems.
Infinite Campus implemented its integrated Campus Food Service solution, giving cashiers real-time access to student accounts, simplifying roll-forward and meal corrections, and providing parent access via the Campus Portal. The result: faster lunch lines and higher lunch counts (and associated revenue), quicker end-of-day closeouts, reliable hardware with no cashier issues, and about half as many parent balance inquiries — saving staff time and district dollars within months thanks to Infinite Campus.
