A Infinite Campus Case Study
Austin Public Schools, a 4,575‑student district in Minnesota, faced fragmentation as teachers used multiple LMS platforms (Moodle, Schoology, teacher sites and Infinite Campus components), which left students — famously one distraught 10th grader — unsure which system to use. To address this, the district evaluated Infinite Campus and its new Campus Instruction LMS tools to replace the patchwork of third‑party systems.
Infinite Campus implemented Campus Instruction beginning with a 15‑classroom pilot focused on Online Discussions; students reported they liked Discussions “way more” than Moodle or Schoology and teachers appreciated assignments appearing directly in the Infinite Campus gradebook, eliminating duplicate data entry. With positive feedback, Austin Public Schools rolled Campus Instruction out to its new STEM school (grades 5–6) and then to grades 7–8, simplifying IT operations and streamlining teaching and learning across the district.
