Hancock Fabrics, a specialty textile and crafts retailer with about 260 stores and a virtualized datacenter supporting ~3,600 employees, participated in an invitation-only Infinio Accelerator beta to boost performance on its VMware vSphere/NFS environment. Facing the common IT challenge of doing more with existing infrastructure and avoiding costly hardware upgrades, the team tested the software on a reserved NFS datastore before gradually migrating production VMs.

Infinio Accelerator was installed with no downtime, first on development VMs and then on production datastores; the dashboard showed improved response times, offloaded requests, and bandwidth savings. Users immediately noticed faster file server and internal website performance, the beta ran for more than a week without issues, and when the software was removed users asked for it to be reinstated — demonstrating real, hardware-free performance gains.
