Vox Telecom delivers impressive business benefits with the InfiniBox enterprise storage system from Infinidat

Vox, a leading South African ICT and telecoms operator, needed to replace its aging storage platform as maintenance was expiring and capacity was running out faster than expected. The company also couldn’t use all of its existing storage capacity, which made the environment inefficient and costly. Vox turned to Infinidat and its InfiniBox enterprise storage system to support its hosting, virtual server, database, and voice infrastructure.

Infinidat implemented two InfiniBox F4304 arrays across Vox’s Johannesburg production and disaster recovery sites, with Datacentrix assisting on deployment and training. The solution delivered 1.7PB of virtual capacity per array, improved performance for customers without a storage downtime event, and enabled fast, low-touch provisioning in under a minute. Vox also benefited from triple-redundancy controllers, 100% availability, and a much lower total cost of ownership, with users noticing performance improvements after the upgrade.
