iBASIS improves customer service and enables IoT expansion with Infinidat’s InfiniBox

iBASIS, a global wholesale voice operator serving more than 1,000 customers worldwide, faced storage performance issues as its environments grew more demanding. To support a new Dynamic Routing application and other workloads, the company needed better throughput and lower latency, especially in its Rotterdam office, where poor storage performance was causing call failures, dropped calls, and degraded service quality.

Working with Infinidat and channel partner Mainline Information Systems, iBASIS deployed InfiniBox storage systems: an InfiniBox 2230 in Rotterdam and an InfiniBox 4230 at headquarters. Infinidat’s solution cut response times from 5ms to 0.5ms, eliminated connectivity issues, restored service levels, and gave iBASIS the capacity and performance needed to continue its switch migration and expand into the IoT market.
