Gerichte Basel-Stadt Delivers Critical Performance Benefits and Reduces Costs with Infinidat’s Flexible Enterprise Storage Model

Gerichte des Kantons Basel-Stadt, the Court of Justice serving the Swiss canton of Basel-Stadt, needed a highly scalable storage platform to support mission-critical judicial applications, virtual desktops, and document management for nearly 500 users. Facing strict budget controls, growing capacity demands, and a need for near-zero latency, the court turned to Infinidat and its InfiniBox enterprise storage solution to replace legacy systems and simplify its multi-protocol storage environment.

Infinidat implemented InfiniBox with elastic pricing, giving Gerichte Basel-Stadt access to more than 500 TB of preinstalled capacity while paying only for what it used. The result was improved performance, high availability, triple-redundant uptime protection, and lower costs versus the incumbent all-flash vendor, with the court reporting 0% downtime and a more reliable always-on infrastructure; future plans include Infinidat Active-Active replication for zero-RPO and zero-RTO protection.
