Case Study: ECMD achieves scalable, high-performance storage with Infinidat

ECMD, a manufacturer, importer, and distributor of specialty building materials, needed to replace its aging IBM XIV storage platform due to rising maintenance and upgrade costs and uncertainty about future support. Working with its IT partner Dynamix Group, ECMD evaluated alternatives and selected Infinidat’s InfiniBox enterprise storage system to support its mission-critical infrastructure.

Infinidat implemented two InfiniBox F2230 systems, one at each data center site, using capacity-on-demand and asynchronous replication for disaster recovery. The solution now supports about 120 virtual machines across VMware, SQL Server databases, Exchange, websites, and mobile apps, while giving ECMD highly reliable, scalable, easy-to-manage storage with seamless upgrades, strong availability, and the ability to grow capacity in 10TB increments as needed.
