CRIF High Mark Exceeds System Performance Expectations with Infinidat

CRIF High Mark, a leading credit bureau in India, needed a storage platform that could handle massive real-time inquiry volumes, sharp month-end and festive-season spikes, and always-on availability for its financial services operations. With more than 1.7 billion records and over 1.5PB of storage to support, the company was looking for a cost-effective, scalable solution that could maintain or improve performance without adding operational risk. Infinidat was brought in to address these requirements.

Infinidat ran a proof of concept and then deployed its data storage solution in CRIF High Mark’s Mumbai data centre, enabling Capacity on Demand, automated provisioning, and strong monitoring capabilities. The results were significant: processing times dropped from 48 hours to 26–28 hours, performance improved by up to 5x in some cases, compression ratios improved by 1.5–2x, and data restore/migration time was cut in half. CRIF High Mark also estimated saving about 20 hours per week in system administration, while benefiting from very high availability and lower costs.
