Interoute Expands Networked Cloud with Infinera Intelligent Transport Network

Interoute, a pan-European cloud and network services provider, needed to expand the bandwidth of its long-haul optical network to meet fast-growing and unpredictable demand for cloud-based connectivity, communications, and computing services. It also wanted an easier-to-operate approach that would let it provision services quickly without increasing operational complexity or costs, and it turned to Infinera for support.

Infinera implemented its Intelligent Transport Network, including the DTN and DTN-X XTC-10 platforms, Instant Bandwidth, Just-In-TIM services, and spares management, giving Interoute same-day 100G bandwidth activation and streamlined end-to-end network operations. As a result, Interoute accelerated service delivery, rapidly scaled its pan-European network to support 10G to 100G services, delivered multiple terabits of bandwidth per fiber, and kept operational costs flat while improving service velocity.
