SnipSnap, a mobile couponing app owned by Slyce, wanted to increase foot traffic to retail stores and drive in-store coupon redemptions. To solve this challenge, it worked with Infillion, using Gimbal’s location-based marketing platform to deliver more relevant, timely coupon promotions in the mobile app.
Infillion set up custom geofences around retail stores and triggered push notifications when users were nearby, alerting them to special deals and promotions. The campaign produced a 233% increase in open rates, with location-based messaging reaching a 20% open rate versus 5–7% without it, helping SnipSnap prove the value and accuracy of the location technology.
