NextCare, a global Third Party Administrator for healthcare insurance and part of Allianz, wanted to help its members find reliable medical guidance online. The customer faced the challenge of inaccurate health information on the internet, which could lead to self-misdiagnosis, inappropriate treatment, and delayed care, so it looked for a trusted symptom checker. Infermedica’s Triage product was chosen to support this need.

Infermedica implemented a multilingual symptom checker in NextCare’s Lumi app in Arabic, English, and French, with direct access from the home screen and connections to video consultations and appointment booking. The solution has been adopted by more than 350,000 users, helped 50% of users find support without an urgent consultation, guided 15% toward self-care, and supported early detection of emergency conditions in more than 20% of cases.
