A InetSoft Case Study
Hillcrest Foodservice, a distributor of fresh and frozen meats, seafood, dairy and grocery items serving restaurants and institutions across northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, struggled with fragmented reporting. Without a standardized BI system, teams relied on Excel and Access to recreate custom reports repeatedly, making trend analysis, timely sales insights and filtered manager views slow and error-prone.
Hillcrest adopted InetSoft’s Style Intelligence to connect DB2, Access, Excel, CSV and XML sources and centralize reporting for supply‑chain and operations optimization. The company automated many reports—including a pizza‑box production optimizer for ~400 SKUs—saving about 500 man‑hours annually, improving inventory transfers between locations, boosting fill rates, and delivering dashboards for invoice tracking, vehicle routes and short‑for‑delivery alerts that freed staff for higher‑value work.
