Tridonic - Customer Case Study

Tridonic, a global manufacturer of lighting components headquartered in Dornbirn, Austria, faced fragmented, low‑visibility air and sea freight processes that made it hard to comply with international regulations, control costs and link transportation volumes to cost trends. To address this, Tridonic selected inet logistics and its inet Transportation Management System (TMS), including Transportation Management and Freight Cost Management modules, to support planning, execution and monitoring of multistage global shipments.

inet logistics conducted process analysis, implemented the web‑based TMS with direct carrier integration and SAP/BW interfaces, and rolled out visibility and freight‑cost control capabilities across five dispatching and twelve receiving sites plus eight logistics providers. The solution delivered measurable improvements—clearer freight cost control and significant cost savings, faster processing of many shipments (often one to two days quicker), reduced delays and stronger delivery reliability—while enabling automated settlement, better reporting and more transparent, optimizable logistics processes.
