Migros - Customer Case Study

Migros, Switzerland’s largest retailer, faced a complex logistics challenge: roughly 780 suppliers used a pool of about 76 million reusable loading devices of 40 types, with procurement and dispatching handled both centrally and regionally. To centralize administration and improve efficiency, Migros engaged inet logistics and adopted their web‑based integration platform and Container Management solution.

inet logistics implemented a single, centrally managed system connected via interfaces to Migros’ master and transaction data, introduced usage‑based settlement fees, and standardized scheduling and invoicing. The result: one employee now manages inventory, dispatching, reporting and settlement for all containers, administrative effort was significantly reduced despite some 250 million container movements per year, and transparency, inventory turnover and cost visibility have all improved.
