Ottawa Rail Project Building Trust Through Real-Time Analytics

Kiewit, working on the CA$4.6B Stage 2 LRT Ottawa Rail expansion, faced the challenge of coordinating 25+ disciplines and hundreds of stakeholders while data lived in disparate spreadsheets and point solutions. To create a single source of truth and improve reporting, Kiewit adopted InEight’s Connected Analytics to centralize data, replace ad-hoc Excel reporting, and give teams a consistent, auditable view of project information.

InEight implemented role-specific, real-time dashboards and integrated data feeds so users can view progress and pull reports with a click—bringing together 273 total packages (193 submitted, 80 remaining; planned to date 235) and tracking more than 30 form types in one platform. The InEight solution eliminated repetitive manual reporting (including a recurring 4‑hour weekly task), improved transparency and stakeholder trust, sped decision-making, and created reusable benchmarking for future projects.
