WestConnex, Australia’s AUD $16.8 billion, 33 km motorway megaproject, faced the typical megaproject challenges of fragmented information, many stakeholders and limited accountability across design, construction and handover. To give teams a single source of truth for engineering documents and correspondence, project owner Transurban selected InEight and its InEight Document solution to address visibility, version control and secure access.

InEight implemented a cloud-based document management platform (InEight Document) with permissions, audit logs, powerful search and project archive/turnover packages, enabling immediate stakeholder access, streamlined communications and stronger security. The result was measurable: InEight now manages over 350,000 project documents, cut the need for document controllers from roughly ten to two, sped onboarding and response times, eliminated information silos and provided a searchable living archive to reduce risk during defects and handover.
