A Inductive Automation Case Study
SCADA, an Italian food and beverage distributor and producer operating under Orva s.r.l., needed to revamp its plants and bring multiple facilities under a single direction with an advanced supervision system that could support future expansion. To meet that challenge, SCADA turned to Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform for SCADA and MES capabilities, including KPI calculation and broad machine connectivity.
Inductive Automation’s Ignition was implemented to supervise Orva’s production plants and is also being extended to monitor the building and service utilities. The project covers about 13,500 tags, 100 screens, 16 fixed operator clients, 12 office stations, and 1,000 alarms, with continuous expansion planned. The result is a scalable, centralized system now connecting users at the new Bagnacavallo plant and supporting implementation across eight production lines.
