A Inductive Automation Case Study
JLG Industries, the world’s leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms, wanted a better way to understand downtime, improve efficiency, and gain more visibility into plant operations. Working with Inductive Automation, JLG implemented Ignition, an industrial application platform used for HMI, SCADA, MES, and IIoT applications.
Using Inductive Automation’s Ignition, JLG expanded from downtime tracking into machine control, data collection, remote alarm notification, reporting, SPC dashboards, and more. The solution helped the company collect paint line data every 15 minutes instead of every four hours, identify out-of-spec conditions faster, reduce manual work, and cut costs by improving efficiency and limiting overtime.
