MadTree Brewing, a fast-growing Cincinnati brewery, needed a more flexible way to manage production as it expanded and moved into a larger facility. The team wanted a SCADA/HMI system that could support its unique brewing processes and replace the paper, whiteboard, and spreadsheet-based tracking it had been using. It partnered with Inductive Automation and selected Ignition for the project.

Inductive Automation implemented a fully integrated recipe-management system in Ignition covering the brewhouse, cellaring, packaging, utilities, and quality-lab data. The result was centralized data collection across 70,000 process tags, 15 PLCs, 150 valves, and about 50 sensors, giving MadTree faster analysis, better troubleshooting, and quicker responses. The brewery also reported improved efficiency and increased capacity, with more brewing done in less time and all production data now available in one place.
