A Inductive Automation Case Study
Kasa Industrial Controls helped a major food processor replace hand-recorded plant-floor tracking with a more efficient real-time data collection approach. The customer needed to monitor thousands of data points across eight processing facilities to maintain product quality and keep up with the demands of the fast-paced food processing industry, and turned to Kasa for an HMI/SCADA solution using Inductive Automation’s Ignition.
Kasa Industrial Controls implemented Inductive Automation’s Ignition to connect PLCs, sensors, and multiple plants through virtual gateway servers and a central database. The solution enabled unlimited tags and clients, seamless integration with the customer’s quality assurance software, and easy access to plant-floor data across all facilities. The result was significant time and cost savings, including one supervisor saving 30 minutes, five hand washings, and four smock changes each time he checked the floor.
