A Inductive Automation Case Study
Integrated Control Systems helped Mendocino County Jail, a two-facility correctional site in Ukiah, California, replace an outdated security network that relied on switch panels and proprietary hardware. The old system was slow, hard to maintain, and required separate officers to manage each control room, creating security and staffing challenges.
Using Ignition by Inductive Automation, ICS built a centralized HMI-based control system that integrates doors, intercoms, cameras, and facility maps into a touchscreen interface. The new setup reduced camera delay from one-to-two seconds to mere milliseconds, improved accountability and safety, and made the system easier to operate, train on, and expand after installation.
