A Inductive Automation Case Study
Coherent Technologies worked with Baze Chemical, a wholesale chemical company, to design the SCADA system for a new ethoxylation plant in Palestine, Texas. Facing the challenge of building a control solution that could meet immediate startup needs and scale with future plant growth, the team selected Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform for its flexibility, platform independence, and unlimited client licensing.
Using Ignition by Inductive Automation, Coherent Technologies implemented a flexible SCADA system that included virtual annunciators, a central control room with eight monitors, and custom camera interfaces tied to two 4K monitors. The solution let Baze Chemical stay within budget while adding visibility and alarming capabilities that can expand as operations grow, giving the plant room to continue scaling without major redesigns.
