A Inductive Automation Case Study
Clarksville Light & Water Co. (CLW), a progressive municipal utility in Clarksville, Arkansas, needed to modernize aging and underused automation systems across its electric, water, and wastewater operations. To address this challenge, CLW turned to Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform, an industrial application platform for HMI, SCADA, and IIoT.
With help from systems integrator Brown Engineers, Inductive Automation’s Ignition was deployed to connect remote water pump stations, tanks, and valves, and later support a new electric SCADA system and wastewater expansion. The solution helped CLW bring projects online quickly, including a water SCADA upgrade completed in 30 days and a $10 million treatment plant expansion finished in 14 months and under budget, while also improving efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening future flexibility and cybersecurity.
