Brown Engineers - Customer Case Study

Brown Engineers worked with American Internet Services (AIS), an enterprise-class data center operator in San Diego, to solve the challenge of unifying multiple critical systems across its 80,000-square-foot Lightwave Data Center. AIS needed a single way to monitor building management, network management, data center operations, and power distribution without missing issues that could lead to downtime.

Using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform, Brown Engineers built a centralized monitoring system with alerting, OPC connectivity, and reusable UDT-based templates. The solution let staff track power and alarms across all circuits, reduce false alarms, simplify tag management, and view everything on streamlined dashboards and mobile devices. As a result, AIS improved downtime prevention, gave IT and facilities a shared view of operations, and moved closer to its goal of monitoring the entire data center on one screen with Inductive Automation.
