A Inductive Automation Case Study
Aguas de Saltillo, a public-private water utility serving Saltillo, Mexico, needed a more flexible and affordable way to modernize its aging SCADA environment and support Industry 4.0 initiatives. Using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform, the company aimed to improve efficiency, expand data access, and avoid the licensing and integration limitations of its previous system.
Inductive Automation implemented Ignition for SCADA, reporting, IIoT-style data handling, and multiple custom applications, including production monitoring, water meter testing, and geo-SCADA for more than 200 District Metered Areas. The solution delivered unlimited tag growth at no added license cost, improved reporting and mobile access, and reliable performance across 8 databases, 6,500 tags, 1,845 alarms, 248 screens, more than 120 PLCs, and 25 clients.
