A Inductive Automation Case Study
Agricultores Federados Argentinos (AFA), a large agricultural cooperative in Los Cardos, Santa Fe, Argentina, needed to solve a wide range of automation and data-management issues across its plant, including inconsistent software versions, outdated operating systems, difficult hardware, decentralized historical data, weak backup processes, and limited access to information outside the plant. AFA turned to Inductive Automation and its Ignition industrial application platform for HMI, SCADA, and IIoT to create a more integrated, reliable operations environment.
With Inductive Automation’s Ignition, AFA centralized real-time and historical data in a single database, added alarms, historians, and reporting, and enabled plant-wide access to accurate production information. The solution reduced maintenance workload, improved data consistency and availability, and delivered significant time savings in information management; operators also reported better control and more practical, easier-to-use access to process and quality data.
