These delays, along with growing data volumes and ETL scalability issues, were affecting revenue and brand value. Indium Software was brought in to help design a faster, more scalable, future-proof architecture using RDBMS and Hadoop.

Indium Software re-architected the environment by moving process-intensive workloads to Hadoop, using Apache Sqoop to move data between RDBMS and Hive external tables, and rebuilding batch jobs to handle the new flow. The result was a reduction in data processing time from 11 hours to under 3 hours, helping eliminate customer escalations around billing report delays and setting the foundation for analytics at scale.
