Indus Towers - Customer Case Study

Indus Towers, one of the world's largest mobile tower companies operating over 125,000 tower sites across India, struggled with remote equipment tampering, fuel pilferage, non‑maintenance, breakdowns and unreliable field reporting that harmed SLAs and revenue. To gain central visibility and two‑way control of heterogeneous site equipment, Indus engaged Indio Networks to provide a universal, weather‑proof IoT modem and cloud connectivity for remote monitoring and management.

Indio Networks developed and deployed a multi‑I/O universal IoT modem (4G backhaul, generic firmware, OTA updates) that interfaced with equipment from multiple vendors and uploaded data to Google Cloud; a 10‑site pilot in Pune and Gurgaon/Delhi over two months validated reliability and interoperability. The solution gave Indus Towers real‑time visibility, remote reset/control of tampered settings, reduced pilferage and outages, improved SLA and site reliability, enabled MIS reporting and technician tracking, was scaled toward 25,000+ modem installs, and delivered multi‑million dollar savings.
