Preview of the WiZink Case Study

WiZink boosts approved purchases to 90% with indigitall push notifications

The digital consumer credit bank WiZink faced the challenge of adapting to the European PSD2 directive, which required the implementation of a Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) system to protect against online payment fraud. To meet this mandate, WiZink partnered with the vendor indigitall to leverage encrypted push notifications as a secure and user-friendly authentication method.

indigitall implemented a solution using encrypted app push notifications to deliver one-time passwords (OTPs), replacing the need for SMS. This point-to-point encryption system enhanced security, streamlined the user experience, and reduced costs. The results for WiZink included a 90% transaction approval rate, a significant improvement over the 78% rate achieved with SMS, alongside higher customer satisfaction and an improved brand reputation.
