Establishing a collaborative digital Pathology platform at the national cancer institute

The National Cancer Institute needed to establish a collaborative digital pathology platform to support its research community. Faced with the challenges of managing vast and diverse datasets from multiple groups and providing scalable access to a variable number of users, they partnered with Indica Labs to transition their on-premises resources to the cloud using HALO, HALO AI, and HALO Link.

Indica Labs implemented a cloud deployment on Amazon Web Services, which provided a dynamic and scalable infrastructure. This solution enabled centralized image management and collaboration, both internally and with external researchers. The results were significant, including a 50% increase in analysis speed and a 180% growth in user adoption, allowing over 100 users to collaborate on more than 1.7 million images and expediting critical cancer research efforts.
