Sheetz, a fast-growing family-owned convenience store chain, needed better visibility into network issues that standard monitoring tools were missing. The company was struggling to pinpoint misconfigurations and other hidden problems in its firewall and VPN environment, including Check Point GAiA firewalls and Cisco infrastructure, and turned to indeni for help.

indeni was used in a proof of concept and then in production to uncover the root cause of a VPN issue, which turned out to be a misconfigured NAT, and to identify hidden problems such as non-identical static routes across firewall clusters and hard drive over-utilization. As a result, Sheetz gained faster issue detection, improved visibility, and earlier warning of problems that could disrupt business-critical services, with indeni described as ready out of the box and effective at preventing performance degradation.
