PECI, a Portland-based non-profit that designs and delivers energy-efficiency programs for utility and government clients, needed to ramp up hiring of skilled technical staff as its contracted client list grew. Hiring quality candidates quickly was critical to winning new business and delivering results, but PECI faced challenges finding specialized talent in a time-efficient, cost-effective way.

After tracking sources in its Taleo ATS and seeing a spike in quality applicants from Indeed, PECI launched a Sponsored Jobs campaign that directed candidates to its branded career site for a simpler application experience. Over 10 months Indeed produced nine hires (including a Senior Applications Development Manager hired in 40 days), delivered 150% more applicants than the next source, and yielded the lowest online cost per hire at $667.
